We make your vision a reality.

More than a business — a family's promise.

Every good local business starts somewhere small, and ours started on foot. Long before Mechan LLC had a website or a truck full of tools, it had Davidson Mechan walking block by block through Urbana-Champaign, knocking on doors and leaving a simple business card behind. No big pitch — just a name, a phone number, and a promise to do honest work. Little by little, those doors opened into conversations, the conversations turned into trust, and the trust turned into the business we run today.

The longer we worked in this community, the more we heard the same heartbreaking story from neighbors: a contractor who took a deposit and disappeared, a repair that fell apart within months, no one left to call when something went wrong. We couldn't shake the feeling that people deserved better than that. So we made ourselves a promise — every single job we take on would be backed by our own guarantee. Not a sales line. A commitment. If something isn't right, we make it right.

Today, Mechan LLC is still, at its heart, a family running a family business. Davidson leads our remodeling crews — painting, drywall, fencing, siding, roofing, carpentry, and more — bringing the same hands-on care to every home he did on day one. His wife, Lizbeth Chavez, runs our house cleaning division with her own trained team, working with homeowners and local businesses alike. Davidson and Lizbeth built this business after coming from Peru with little more than a strong work ethic and a belief in doing things the right way — and now their oldest son helps carry that same spirit online, so more families across Urbana-Champaign can find us when they need us most.

That's who we are: neighbors first, contractors second — and a family that treats your home like it's our own.
